A Bake-tastic event for KS2!
On July 8th Wentworth Primary School hosted its first ‘Great French Bake Off’ competition. With a huge number of entries, it proved very tricky to pick the top three dishes! We were treated to culinary delights such as Tarte Tartin, Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, Macarons, Mousse au Chocolat, Quiche and much more!
Thank you to all of our wonderful bakers for their efforts, it was a terrifically difficult decision. After much deliberation our winners were:
1st place: Skye (Year 6)
2nd place: Phoebe (Year 4)
3rd place: Phoebe (Year 3)
A day of appreciation for the French culture.
Year 3 participated in a French morning, gaining a greater appreciation for the French culture. The children taste tested some traditional French foods whilst visiting a French café, with French jazz music. The children were brave and challenged themselves to taste new things!
The children of Year 3 used their understanding of basic greetings to help them ask for food and drink.
